A MAN accused of attempting to murder another man in Croydon town centre with an axe appeared in court again today (Friday).
Joshua Streeks, 22, of Morland Road, Addiscombe, appeared via video link from Highdown Prison at Croydon Crown Court this morning for his preliminary hearing.
His trial date was set for August 3, with a plea and case management hearing set for May 8.
Streeks, who did not enter a plea, faces one charge of attempted murder and another of possessing an offensive weapon, an axe, in a public place.
Liam O'Brien was hit over the head with an axe outside the Bad Apple nightclub in Park Street during the early hours of Wednesday, February 4.
