POLICE have charged a 49-year-old man with affray after an incident where a man took a woman hostage with a blowtorch for six hours in a South Norwood home yesterday.
Police negotiators managed to talk the man dow at 4.20am.
They have charged Barry Stone,of Hurlstone Road, with the offence. He was also detained under section two of the Mental Health Act and has since been taken to hospital, where he currently remains.
