Police arrest 17-year-old boy for robbery in connection with New Addington stabbing

A 17-YEAR-OLD boy has been arrested on suspicion of robbery as part of the investigation into a stabbing in New Addington yesterday.

Police were called to reports of a fight in Castle Hill Avenue at 12.50pm. London Ambulance Service and an Air Ambulance also went to the scene and treated a 24-year-old man who had been stabbed in the leg.

He has now been discharged from a south London hospital.

The 17-year-old has been bailed and will return to a south London police station in late March after police make more enquiries.

Detectives from Croydon CID are investigating the stabbing. Witnesses or anyone with information should contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
