It is not what Crystal Palace fans want to hear just 48 hours before the new season but according to a number of bookmakers, Tony Pulis' odds to leave the Eagles have been slashed.
Last night, the Eagles boss was priced 40/1 to be the next (first) manager to leave his post this season.
But, after sustained interest overnight into the early hours of Thursday morning, his odds have dropped dramatically to 7/2 and 6/1.
It is believed the betting has come from south-coast punters, which is where Pulis is based.
However, just after 2pm on Thursday, Pulis' odds to leave dropped further to as low as 3/1.
