STOKE City boss Mark Hughes has ruled out Steve Nzonzi leaving the club for Crystal Palace.
The midfielder has been heavily linked with a reunion with Tony Pulis after emailing Stoke a request to leave earlier this summer.
But Hughes insists the 25-year-old is fully focused on life with the Potters ahead of the Premier League opener against Aston Villa at home on Saturday (3pm).
Nzonzi is expected to be one of the first names on the teamsheet and the manager hints it has not been too difficult for peace to break out.
"He's looked really sharp and looks in a good place. He's enjoying his football at the moment and we're enjoying what he's producing.
"He's like the rest of us, he wants the real stuff to start now.
"What happened, happened. There is nothing untoward, it's over now. We move on and focus on the business of winning games for Stoke."
