Southampton midfielder Jack Cork has been linked with a move to Crystal Palace, according to the Daily Mail. The Eagles are believed to be on the verge of signing a Premier League midfielder, according to co-chairman Steve Parish, with the likes of Stoke City midfielder Steven Nzonzi also linked. Cork is highly-rated on the south coast and a bid of around £3m has been suggested by the tabloid. Saints legend Matt Le Tissier tweeted on Thursday morning: "If @jackcork1 leaves for £3 million someone would have got the bargain of the season. #verygoodfootballer" If Cork signs for Palace, technically he'll be coming back home to the area having been born in Carshalton, just four miles from Croydon and six from Selhurst Park. The 25-year-old began his career at Chelsea and was sent out on loan before departing for Southampton permanently in 2011. Cork also played three times for Great Britain at the 2012 Olympic Games.
