Police are appealing information after a woman was seriously sexually assaulted in Thornton Heath.
The attack happened at 9.40pm on July 18 as the woman, in her mid-20s, walked in Ecclesbourne Road at the junction with Bensham Manor Road. She had been walking from Thornton Heath station.
As she turned into Ecclesbourne Road, a man grabbed her from behind, forced her to the floor and seriously sexually assaulted her.
He then fled with another man who was acting as a lookout.
The attacker is described as black, aged around 16, of slim build and around 5ft 4ins tall. He was wearing a red cap, red hooded top and blue jeans.
His accomplice is also black, aged around 15, of slim build and around similar height. He was wearing a black shirt and a woolly hat.
Acting Detective Sergeant Darren Greening from Sapphire, part of the Met's Sexual Offences, Exploitation and Child Abuse Command, is leading the investigation.
"This attack happened at a time when there would have been a number of people walking back from the local railway station," he said.
"Although the whole incident lasted around 20 seconds it would have been very noticeable.
"If you saw anything of the incident, or two black males running away from the scene, please contact police."
