CROYDON'S Martyn Rooney was in impressive form this lunchtime (Monday) as he won his 400m heat at the Commonwealth Games.
Rooney won in a time of 45.57 seconds, putting him through to Tuesday's semi-finals.
He has high hopes of reaching the final on Wednesday and potentially bagging a medal, though Olympic champion Kirani James, from Grenada, is the strong favourite for gold medal.
