The 21-year-old winger has failed to make an impression at Man Utd, since joining from Palace for £15m last year.
Having been frozen out by David Moyes, Zaha joined Cardiff for the second half of last season on loan, but again struggled to make an impact as the Welsh side were relegated.
And the signs aren't good in pre-season for the former Palace fans' favourite. Zaha is the only United player on the club's Amercian tour yet to feature on the pitch, amid rumblings about his attitude and the concerns of new boss Louis Van Gaal.
