A NETWORK Rail worker has been hit by a train between East Croydon and Gatwick this morning.
The incident, which took place near the Redhill tunnel, happened at approximately 10.50am this morning.
The man, who Network Rail confirmed was a member of staff, was taken to hospital with a suspected broken arm.
There are still some delays and some lines were closed while the incident was being dealt with.
Routes between East Croydon and Brighton, Gatwick Airport and East Croydon as well as between Brighton and London Bridge are currently being affected.
A British Transport Police spokesman said: "Officers were called to the Redhill Tunnel at 10.50am today after reports of a man had been hit by a northbound train. South East Coast Ambulance attended to the man who has a suspected broken arm."
