NEXT season, Croydon will once again be home to a Premier League football team.
And to celebrate this fact, a banner proclaiming the Eagles' top division status was draped over the Wellesley Road underpass - for rush-hour drivers and tram passengers to see in all its glory.
The banner, designed by Palace supporters' group the Holmesdale Fanatics, read: 'The Palace are staying up'.
After it was displayed so prominently in the town centre, several pictures of the display were posted on Twitter.
The HF have become renowned for their spirited, motivational messages and displays before matches at Selhurst Park.
In a cheeky swipe at moneybags opponents Man City on Sunday, a banner behind the goal read: 'You've got the money, we've got the soul.'
