EAGLES assistant boss Keith Millen says Mile Jedinak was luckily given the all-clear by medical staff at a hospital in Huddersfield last night.
The skipper suffered a nasty eye injury after clashing with Huddersfield Town striker Alan Lee in stoppage time, but thankfully there has been no major damage.
"He's OK, although it was a bad one," Millen told Advertiser Sport.
"He went straight to hospital after the game and they looked at him and gave him the all-clear thankfully.
"Structurally there is no damage and the main thing is that his eye has been tested and nothing is wrong.
"The main problem now is the swelling because it's keeping his eye closed."
Jedinak may have an outside chance of facing Charlton Athletic on Saturday, but Millen says he'll be closely monitored by the Eagles.
"We'll have to see about Charlton on Saturday," he said.
"He is seeing someone on Friday, and if the swelling goes down we'll see what the medical team say."
And when questioned whether the club would consider using a facial mask similar to Paul Gascoigne's in 1993 while playing for England, Millen refused to rule out that possibility.
"Maybe yes, it's an option, so we'll leave it to the last minute," he added.
Meanwhile, Andre Moritz looks like he'll be doubt for the game against the Addicks after coming off just before half-time at the John Smith's Stadium.
"He's not looking good as he's done some damage to his ankle," Millen said.
"It was swollen after the game so we'll have to wait and see.
"He'll have some tests done on Friday to see if the swelling goes down, so it was disappointing to lose him as well."
