SCOTLAND Yard's public order branch is handling the investigation into the coin-throwing incidents at Palace's last two matches against Newcastle United and Liverpool.

Eagles officials are still gathering evidence to assist the territorial police force as well as requesting further footage from BT Sport in regards to the FA Cup clash last weekend.

After Papiss Cisse had given Newcastle the lead in a Premier League game on Wednesday, February 11, the striker was joined by team-mates as they celebrated in front of the Holmesdale Stand.

Magpies captain Fabriccio Coloccini was struck by a coin near to his left eye, which prompted condemnation from Newcastle boss John Carver and Eagles manager Alan Pardew post-match.

It was also reported that a similar incident occurred after one of Liverpool's goals in SE25 last Saturday.

As a result, High Definition CCTV has been installed at Selhurst Park and a select number of stewards will be fitted with body cameras from now on.
