A CAR lost its front wheels during a crash on Roman Way in Croydon this afternoon.
The black BMW suffered heavy damage in the collision with another car on the northbound side of the carriageway near the junction with Factory Lane at 12.25pm.
A Met Police spokesperson said officers had come across the incident while on patrol, adding: "Both parties exchanged details and no injuries were reported."
Photographs taken of the scene by reporter Tom Matthews show the BMW suffered significant frontal damage.
A photo appears to show one of the cars collided with a brick wall near a drop kerb.
One lane of the road was closed and the crash site cordoned off.
Factory Lane was closed to traffic other than vehicles coming from Factory Lane.
