SCOTT Dann believes if Crystal Palace can keep providing the chances up front, Yaya Sanogo will get the goals to keep the club in the Premier League.

The Frenchman was brought in from Arsenal nearly three weeks ago on loan and scored his first goal at St Mary's Stadium in the FA Cup.

"I think he has got better with each game so far - he was good at Burnley but he was better at Southampton, especially in the first half," said Dann.

"He gave us that platform to build off. He and Marouane Chamakh up front caused problems for their defence.

"Whoever comes into the team, we need to make sure we perform like that, but the way the lads played up front was a good thing for us.

"I think Yaya can score in the Premier League. He hasn't played many games at Arsenal and he has shown he's capable of getting into those positions.

"We just need to make sure we keep putting balls into the box like we have been recently and we'll score more."

And reflecting on Chamakh's return to the side from injury, Dann stressed just how important the Moroccan is to Palace.

"Marouane has been a big miss for us," he said.

"He's that link between the midfield and the strikers and he's got real quality. He showed that at Southampton popping up in the right holes.

"If he can continue to play like that from now until the end of the season then we have a great player on our hands."
