Police appeal for help after spate of burglaries 'make life a misery' in Selsdon area

POLICE have issued an appeal for public help to find three youngsters after a spate of burglaries have been making "life a misery" for residents in the Selsdon area.

Heathfield's safer neighbourhood team has asked for anyone with information about three youngsters who were seen acting suspiciously on Monday (January 5) in the Bowens Wood, Newlands Wood and Hartscroft areas of Forestdale.

The first male was described as 6ft tall and aged between 17 and 20. He was wearing a black jumper, blue jeans and was holding a small bag.

The second, also described as being aged between 17 and 20, was wearing a red jumper, while police said the third was 14 or 15 and could have been of Asian or mixed race.

They were seen,along with two bicycles, between 3.30pm and 6.30pm.

Officers also urged anyone witnessing a burglary to dial 999.
