CRYSTAL Palace have been boosted by the news that Manchester City are enduring a striker crisis ahead of next Saturday's clash at the Etihad Stadium.
Star man Sergio Aguero is out for six weeks with a knee problem, while Edin Dzeko pulled his calf in the warm-up before the game at Leicester City on Saturday and is out until the New Year.
And it seems Stevan Jovetic is also struggling and won't play again in 2014.
Boss Manuel Pellegrini said: "We are without Aguero, Dzeko and Jovetic for more than a couple of weeks.
"It's a difficult situation but we will see the best way to resolve it."
City's only striking option is youngster Jose Angel Pozo, who started the game at Leicester game at the age of 18.
