The planned relaunch of the ex-Allders store in Croydon has been delayed this morning due to yesterday's reports of a suspected gas leak.
The store, most recently trading as Croydon Village Outlet, was due to relaunch today at 10.00am under the new Zervo banner, following a takeover by businessman Clive Coombes.
However, a statement from Zervo issued this morning said proceedings would be pushed back to start at 11.00am due to a halt in yesterday's preparations.
Around 100 people were led away from the store yesterday afternoon, but no elevated levels of gas were found and no-one was injured.
