CRYSTAL Palace defender Peter Ramage is on his way to Barnsley on loan for three months and could make his debut on Saturday away at Rochdale.
The 30-year-old was also the subject of an enquiry from Championship side Fulham, but it is understood the defender wants to be closer to his family in Newcastle.
Ramage enjoyed a loan spell at Oakwell last season and it us understood he has pushed for a move back there.
Fulham enquired about his services but Barnsley's offer was more concrete and they want to throw him into their starting line-up in 48 hours' time.
The move could be made permanent in January depending on how he gets on.
