CRYSTAL Palace star Jonny Williams was beaming for Sullay KaiKai after the attack-minded star scored a late equaliser to send the Capital One Cup tie against Newcastle United into extra-time on Wednesday.
The Wales international said he was "proud" that he made way for KaiKai to come on and show everyone what he's about – and he believes the hard work in training is paying off.
"He's a very good finisher and he's got goals about him," Williams told the Advertiser.
"He's been working hard in training and he's a good lad as well.
"I'm so happy for him. The first finish was just as good as the second as the ball was coming off a cross and he's done well to keep it on target.
"Every time I seen him he's working hard, he got his chance on Wednesday and I'm proud because I was the one to make way for him.
"It was good for him to have his chance as I remember making my name in the League Cup too, so hopefully he can do the same."
