IN AN attempt to sway the undecided voters of Scotland ahead of next week's independence referendum, the Saltire has been hoisted above Croydon Town Hall.
The decision follows calls from Prime Minister David Cameron and opposition leader Ed Miliband for councils across England to show their support for the Union.
Croydon's effort seems to have gone a little better than Downing Street's. Number 10's flag fell off its pole as it was being hoisted earlier this week.
Scotland's voters are due to go the polls on Thursday, September 18.
