PASSENGERS will be able to board trams using contactless payments from next Tuesday (September 16).
Transport for London (TfL) is introducing the new method of payment on Tube, tram, DLR, London Overground and National Rail services that accept Oyster cards.
The payment system is already in operation on London buses.
Contactless payment cards are debit, credit, charge or pre-paid cards which can be used for purchases of £20 and under.
Passengers do not need to enter their PIN or signature but just touch the card on the reader.
