POLICE have arrested a man in connection with an armed robbery at a Coral bookmaker's in Coulsdon.
Officers investigating the incident at the new shop in Chipstead Valley Road made the arrest last night.
The incident, where a masked man threatened a staff member with a handgun, stole cash from the till and made off on foot, took place last Friday, September 12 shortly before 4pm.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: "Officers arrested a man in his twenties yesterday (Tuesday) evening on suspicion of robbery. He's currently in custody in a south London police station."
The Coral store, on Chipstead Valley Road, opened exactly two weeks before the robbery.
