NEW Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock has revealed he hopes to finalise a deal to bring Wilfried Zaha back to Selhurst Park today.
The winger has been heavily linked with a return to south London at different times this year, but Warnock looks to be on the verge of completing a sensational return for the fans' favourite.
The 65-year-old told talkSPORT this morning: "I spoke to him last night.
"You know what it's like, when you get a chance, you can't turn Manchester United down.
"There are so many big players there and sometimes you get lost in the works and he's still developing, is Wilfried.
"He's got such an immense talent and I just think when you're a wide player or a forward, if you're loved, if you feel loved, and the fans love him – and I'm not doing it for the fans – I think he's got so much to learn.
"I've heard it could be about his attitude but I've always thought his attitude has been spot-on.
"I had half-an-hour with him (on the phone) explaining why I wanted him to come back and I'm very optimistic we're going to do it today I hope."
