NEIL Warnock looks set to make a sensational return to Selhurst Park, to succeed Tony Pulis as Eagles boss.
Betting has been suspended on the former QPR, Sheffield United, and Leeds boss this lunchtime (Wednesday) with his main rival for the job, Steve Clarke, reportedly out of the running.
Warnock, 65, previously managed Palace between 2007 and 2010, before leaving for QPR, who he guided to the Premier League in 2011.
The bookies odds on ex-West Brom boss Clarke had tumbled this morning, with reports suggesting he'd impressed the Palace board in an interview, but it now seems Steve Parish has turned to the veteran Warnock to take charge - just five days before the transfer window closes.
