Crystal Palace's search for a new manager could be over, with Tim Sherwood set to take the hotseat at Selhurst Park.
The Advertiser understands the former Tottenham man impressed at his interview and a decision was made on him as early as Friday, just 24 hours after Tony Pulis departed.
The Palace squad have urged owner Steve Parish to act quickly, and it is believed the new boss will be installed by Wednesday.
Sherwood is odds-on favourite to land the post, with Malky Mackay, David Moyes and Neil Lennon others in the frame.
Caretaker boss Keith Millen could also be in with a shout, and the Croydon-born man is keen to stay on even if he doesn't get the job.
