CRYSTAL Palace defender Joel Ward is looking to move on swiftly from Tony Pulis' exit from the club and believes the professionalism of the first team squad will get through a tough few days.
The Eagles were unlucky to concede a late winner against Arsenal on Saturday, but they didn't look like a side who had lost their manager just 48 hours beforehand.
Ward insists he and his team-mates are "hungry" to prove people wrong once again, no matter what goes against them, too.
"Obviously it's been a bit of a shock but that's football and it's happened a lot over the years," he said.
"It will continue to do that and as professionals we have got to get on with the job in hand.
"We found out through the media, but we have got to get on with what we do.
"There is a great bunch of lads here and we're very professional. You look at Tony's record, it speaks for itself.
"The lads haven't changed, we're still as hungry as ever and we want to prove we can stay in this league again.
"I am just focusing on the games, that's all we can do. We can't affect what's going on outside of the club, we can only affect what we do on the pitch."Follow your Crystal Palace reporter on Twitter @MR_LWMedia for news and interviews, while you can follow our general sports account at @AdvertiserSport.
