MARTYN Rooney has set himself up superbly for Wednesday's 400m race final in Glasgow after a stunning semi-final win on Tuesday night.
The Croydon star came round the final bend alongside the frontrunners before stealing a march for the final push and go past the finishing line in style.
It's been a fantastic couple of months for Rooney, a huge Crystal Palace FC fan, and he recently spoke to the Advertiser of his training techniques which have improved his performance.
All eyes in south London will be on Rooney tonight in the Men's 400m Final, where he takes on the favourite Kirani James.
If he can win this, he brings home the gold.
