POLICE searching for a missing woman on the borders of Croydon and Bromley say she was last seen in Purley. Jane Sylvia Dale, 40, was seen in the town at 5.45pm on Sunday (July 13). Her car, a silver Ford Focus was found locked and empty in Norheads Lane, Biggin Hill. It is believed to have been parked there from around 7pm that evening. She had failed to return home to Maritime Gate, in Gravesend, Kent after travelling to Croydon by car at about 2pm. She was reported missing at 4.30pm the following day following growing concerns for her welfare. The mother of three is described as a white woman, 5ft 9in tall, of medium build, with straight, dark brown shoulder length hair, which may be worn in a ponytail, and brown eyes. She is believed to have been wearing blue Adidas trainers, knee length denim jean shorts, a blue/grey zip up jacket and had a black top or short sleeved white top underneath, and might have been wearing glasses. Detective Inspector Ivan Beasley, of the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate, said: "It is out of character for Jane to go missing and her family are very concerned for her welfare. "We have specialised teams searching for Jane but would urge anybody with any information or anyone who has seen her to call us on 101, quoting reference 14-1119. "Even information that may seem insignificant can provide us with a valuable lead so please come forward."
