A TEENAGE student has been charged with the stabbing of an 18-year-old in Thornton Heath during a fight in the early hours of Saturday morning (July 12).
The victim was stabbed multiple times in the back following what police described as "a disturbance involving a large group of males" in London Road at 3.25am, and remains in a South London hospital with serious, but no longer life-threatening, injuries.
An 18-year-old was arrested in Colliers Water Lane after the attack.
He has since been named by police as Jammal Jessey, of St Saviours Road, and charged with GBH.
He is due to appear at Camberwell Green Magistrates' Court tomorrow (Monday) via the virtual court system.
