A WOMAN has died after reportedly falling from Centrale shopping centre in Croydon town centre.
Police cordoned off an area of Drummond Road, by a service entrance to the shopping centre, at around 4.30pm today (Monday).
Witnesses reported that the woman had fallen from the shopping centre.
The air ambulance was sent to the scene and "extensive efforts" were made to resuscitate the woman who had suffered a cardiac arrest, a London Ambulance Service spokesman said.
However, she was pronounced dead at the scene by the doctor from the air ambulance.
LAS has yet been unable to confirm the age of the woman involved.
Centrale said it was helping the police with the investigation.
A spokesman said: "We can confirm that the emergency services and air ambulance were called to a incident at Centrale this afternoon, which took place on Drummond Road close to the centre's multi-storey car park.
"We are cooperating fully with the police and assisting them with their investigation."
