JULIAN SPERONI is close to signing a new one-year deal at Crystal Palace, the Croydon Advertiser understands.
Speroni's current deal runs out at the end of the month, although the Palace player of the year has previously spoken of his desire to stay at Selhurst Park.
And despite reported interest from Premier League rivals Sunderland, among others, the Advertiser understands that Speroni will sign a new deal to keep him in SE25 for a tenth season.
