TWO Crystal Palace fans are to appear in court charged with going on the pitch during last month's pulsating draw with Liverpool at Selhurst Park.
Liam Field, 18, of Homestead Way, New Addington, and Jack Brown, 19, of Fieldend Road, Streatham, are accused of entering the playing area on May 5 "without lawful authority or lawful excuse".
The pair, who were bailed on condition they did not attend the Eagles following fixture against Fulham, have been charged under sections 4 and 5 of the Football (Offences) Act 1991.
The match, which was Palace's final home game of the season, saw Liverpool surrender a three-goal lead in the final eleven minutes, with two quick-fire goals from striker Dwight Gayle sending the Selhurst Park faithful into raptures.
Field and Brown are due to appear at Croydon Magistrates' Court tomorrow (Wednesday).
