MURDER suspect, Ephraim Norman, accused of stabbing a 52-year-old man to death in Selsdon Park Road, Selsdon, appeared at the Old Bailey on Tuesday. Ephraim Norman, 23, of Kensington Avenue, Thornton Heath spoke only to answer to his name and was remanded in custody. He is due to enter a plea to the charge of murder on August 1 and will consult with his lawyers before then to indicate what his defence to the allegation is. Norman is said to have attacked Andrew Else, 52, of Pixton Way, Forestdale at around 10.30pm on Thursday and was arrested at the scene. A post mortem revealed that Mr Else had died of multiple stab wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene, despite prolonged efforts by paramedics to revive him. Police have said there is no evidence the men knew other.
