CRYSTAL Palace defender Adrian Mariappa says he and his team-mates need to put on top displays against Liverpool and Fulham despite achieving Premier League survival early.
The Eagles went down to a strong Manchester City side on Sunday but Mariappa says the focus is finishing on high which could mean a top-ten finish.
The versatile defender has been playing with a broken nose after a clash with Leighton Baines two weeks ago too.
"It's still broken so we're looking at getting it fixed," Mariappa told the Advertiser.
"It's the first time I've worn a mask, it's a bit strange and quite hard to get used to.
"Once the game starts though, you forget about it. I have got the odd joke though, like Zorro, Batman, the lot!
"It was a tough game against City, it didn't go to plan, especially as we wanted to keep our run going.
"We have been solid at the back and from our point of view they were two poor goals to concede.
"We want to finish as high as we can. We have a chance of finishing in the top half of the table which is a big incentive for all of us.
"It would be great to finish the season on a high and not let it peter it. We owe it to the teams that we'll put in everything, and that's what we'll try to do."
