REALITY TV stars helped a beauty salon raise hundreds of pounds for charity in an event inspired by a local toddler.
Made in Chelsea star Jamie Lang and The Only Way is Essex star Chloe Sims made guest appearances at the Christmas lights switch-on at Precious Moments Beauty Salon in Coulsdon yesterday evening.
The glamorous duo drew nearly 300 people to Brighton Road, raising nearly £1000 for Macmillan Cancer Care, Rainbow Trust and the Children's Trust, Tadworth.
The bash was held in honour of local toddler Ellie Billings, who switched on the display.
The two-year-old, who has leukemia, inspired the salon to organise the fundraiser when she visited in October with her mother, Debra Perrott.
Stephen Jones, whose wife Sally runs the salon, said: "Ellie is going through such a tough time but she seems to be dealing with it so well.
"It really puts life into perspective."
He added: "Everyone got to meet Chloe and Jamie - I would not let them go.
"We had a queue outside and Facebook is alight this morning with people posting their photos.
"Quite a few girls were crying and hugging each other outside with the excitement of it all.
"The power of celebrities - it is amazing."
The local branch of Waitrose also donated £200.
Santa's Grotto will remain at the salon from 3pm to 7pm today.
Phone the salon on 020 8668 3998 to book a place.
