A 78-year-old man who was involved in a collision with a car in Portland Road, South Norwood on Sunday evening has since died.
The accident took place at around 6pm at the junction with Oakley Road.
Police said at the weekend the man had been taken to hospital suffering from serious but not life threatening head injuries.
But they confirmed today (Wednesday) that he had subsequently died.
His death is the 14th fatality to occur on Croydon's road this year.
