A HUGE street festival will mark the opening of the new footbridge at East Croydon Station on Thursday night.
Lansdowne Road will be closed for the event, which will feature a Christmas market and live entertainment from street artists and musicians.
There will also be a lights show and fireworks from 6pm.
The Celebrate Croydon street festival is being held from 4-10pm, to mark the opening of the pedestrian link from East Croydon Station into the main business and retail areas of the Town Centre.
The link is part of the £50m Connected Croydon programme, with a chunk of money coming from the Mayor of London, to improve accessibility in different parts of central Croydon.
