TONY Pulis had admitted he wanted to sign Mile Jedinak in the January transfer window when he was manager at Stoke City. The 29-year-old midfielder signed a new three-and-a-half year contract this afternoon after months of negotiations. It was understood earlier this year that following the FA Cup third round clash at Selhurst Park, Jedinak was under the watchful eye of Pulis in the replay at the Britannia Stadium. And while a £2.5m fee was speculated, winger Yannick Bolasie was also understood to be a target for the 55-year-old. "We were very interested in him when I was manager at Stoke," Pulis said. "He played against us in the FA Cup twice and did exceptionally well. "He's got great leadership qualities, he sets an example by the way he plays and he's a good lad as well."WATCH A VIDEO OF JEDINAK DISCUSSING HIS NEW DEAL BELOW
