NEW Crystal Palace manager Tony Pulis says he believes the Eagles are the biggest club in south London.
The former Stoke City boss has been impressed with what he has found in SE25 in his first week, adding that he feels there is huge potential at the club.
"I spoke to Ian [Holloway] a couple of times before I took the job, I spoke to Dougie [Freedman] and Lennie [Lawrence] too," he said.
"Just like Steve does his research, I did mine too and what I know is that the club has got enormous potential.
"They have come up a few times and been relegated straight away, so they have never had a chance to get a foothold in the division.
"But we need to take it forward to that next level.
"There is plenty of potential and I might get criticised for it, but I think it is the biggest club in south London. It has the biggest catchment area."
