A MAN has appeared in court charged with killing a 40-year-old man in Bournemouth.
Lewis Gill, 20, of no fixed abode, was charged with manslaughter following the death of Andrew Young on November 6.
Gill, who was arrested in Croydon the following weekend, appeared at Winchester Crown Court on Tuesday.
He was remanded in custody ahead of a plea and case management hearing on January 24.
A preliminary date of May 6 has been set for a trial.
Mr Young sustained head injuries outside a Tesco Express store in the Charminster area of Bournemouth at 3.35pm. He later died in custody.
