Firefighters had to act quickly to prevent a blaze in some sheds engulfing a carpet warehouse in Broad Green this afternoon.
At approximately 1.15pm an engine from Norbury Fire Station attended reports of a fire in some sheds on Stanley Grove.
The three sheds back on to the carpet warehouse, which a firefighter from Norbury Station said would have gone up in flames very quickly.
Another engine from Croydon also attended the fire, which took two hours to put out.
One of the sheds was completely destroyed
There were no people hurt in the incident and the cause of the fire is still unknown.
