THE jury has been sworn in for the trial of the couple accused of murdering a New Addington father of nine.
Cherri Gilmartin, 36, and Jason Lodge, 38, of Uvedale Crescent in the estate, deny murdering David Petch, 55, last year.
Mr Petch died on April 18 2012, four days after being found in a critical condition at his home in Wayside, Fieldway.
The trial, at the Old Bailey, is expected to last until June 28.
It had been due to start in December, but was postponed as Gilmartin was heavily pregnant.
She has been remanded on bail and arrived at court this morning wearing a dark suit.
Lodge is being held in custody.
The couple did not appear to communicate with each other as they sat side by side in the dock this morning.
The case has been adjourned until 2.15pm, when prosecutors will start setting out their case.
