STUART Hazell will be sentenced this lunchtime, having pleaded guilty to the murder of Tia Sharp.
The 37-year-old dramatically changed his plea this morning, as the fifth day of his trial was about to start at The Old Bailey.
The court previously heard claims that Hazell was "sexually attracted" to Tia, whose body was found in the loft of a home in The Lindens, New Addington, which Hazell shared with his partner Christine Bicknell, Tia's grandmother.
The jury was also told how Hazell tried to pin the blame for Tia's death onto Somalian neighbours and complained of his treatment in the media, claiming her was being made to look like "Jack the Ripper".
Earlier in the trial, police blunders in the search for Tia were discussed, with the court hearing officers failed to find her body until a fourth search of the loft on August 10 last year.
CCTV footage was also shown to the jury, of Hazell and Tia together on a bus and shopping in a Forestdale supermarket, hours before he allegedly killed her.
