CROYDON residents and political figures have reacted angrily to a report which dubs Croydon the second unhappiest place to live in the UK.
The Rightmove survey canvassed around 40,000 homeowners for their views on the happiest places to live - with Harrogate, in north Yorkshire, coming out on top, and Croydon coming second from bottom.
This has left many of you unimpressed, with Croydonians taking to Twitter, to vent their frustrations and share their views on what's good about Croydon.
Keri Watkins wrote: "Lots of easily accessible parks and open spaces as well as fantastic community events," while Adam Michael cited Surrey Street Market, the "surprising amount of green spaces" and Fairfield Halls as his reasons to be cheerful.
Croydon Labour leader Tony Newman pinpointed our "vibrant district centres" and 12 golf courses, also making reference to Westfield and Hammerson's £1bn investment in the Whitgift Centre.
